Episode 129, in which we get into the science of where we look with Shel Silva

Shel Silva wants to understand why motorcyclists look where they look and why car drivers look where they look. Her hope is that by understanding these things, she can make roads safer for riders everywhere – starting in the UK, which is where she lives. Shel is a PhD researcher at Bournemouth University, where she recently was given their Doctoral College’s Outstanding Contribution Award for her research on behalf of DOCBIKE.

You can read more about Shel’s study on the Bournemouth Uni website, and you can reach out to her if you’re interested in contributing to her study there as well.

You can find out more about DOCBIKE through their website, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
