Meet the Team
Chasing the Horizon is the brainchild of Wes Fleming, Digital Media Editor of the BMW Owners News. Although Wes is tireless when it comes to creating digital content, he doesn't do this alone. Please contact Wes if you are interested in adding your name to the list of contributors.
Creator, Nerd, Anti-Camping Activist
Wes was a rock star for 25 years, but walked away and took up motorcycles. His mother still hasn’t forgiven him. He discovered BMWs thanks to a friend in 2001 and has been riding trendy, not-so-trendy and sidecar-equipped BMWs ever since...
...plus a KTM ... and soon an Indian.
He spends most of his time in Central Virginia.
Full Gear Female, Ride Leader, Self Supported Traveler
Cassie set off on the adventure of a lifetime in 2016. 5,000 miles and four months later, Cassie returned to her hometown of Seattle with a boy, a well used K 75 and a newfound passion for motorcycling.
You're as likely to meet Cassie on America's roads as you are to find her at a motorcycle show or teaching motorcycle skills improvement courses. Just don't try to sit on her K 75 - we hear it bites!
Daily Rider, Content Creator
A daily rider, motorcycle traveller and advocate for going carless, Scott has been riding and wrenching on bikes for nearly 20 years. Although a modern bike rider these days, Scott’s started in motorcycling fixing and restoring vintage bikes.
When not at his day job he's working at being a professionally amateur motojournalist and content creator.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, currently living in Portland, Oregon but rides everywhere.
Chasing the Horizon is a podcast by, for and about motorcyclists.
The podcast is brought to you by the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America and is one of the MOA's digital content offerings.
The podcast, while part of the MOA's broad approach to content, is not meant to be a BMW-motorcycle-only podcast, and you'll be treated to news and information from across the motorcycle industry, as well as motorcyclists (and motorcycles) of every make, marque, model and vintage.
Chasing the Horizon is meant to appeal to everybody who rides a motorcycle, no matter where they're from, how old (or young) they are or what kind of motorcycle they ride.
An Open Source Project
When we say by, for and about motorcyclists, we really mean by motorcyclists. If you would like to contribute to our project, please contact a team member. It's a great way to tell your story, engage with the motorcycle community and share your passion with the world.
