Rounding out the First Season

Hi all – just wanted to make a quick update and let you know what to expect for the rest of the First Season of Chasing the Horizon.

The next episode will feature a discussion with Andrew Pain, a photographer with a penchant for small-displacement motorcycles. Andrew is part of the Horizons Unlimited community, and travels to a number of their events across the US. He’s also doing a project in 2018 focused (pun intended!) on rediscovering the subtle nuances of film.

Following Andrew will be a discussion with Eric Ristau, a filmmaker, and the star of his most recent project, Neil “Morto” Olson. Eric & Neil were my first ever Skype interview, and it was fun being able to see the people I was talking to. Eric’s previous motorcycle-related projects include “The Best Bar in America” and “Sit Stay Ride,” a fantastic documentary about dogs and the people that drive their sidecar rigs.

After that, my guest will be Bill Conger, who competed in the Dakar Rally for the second time in 2018 – and this time he finished the race, a huge accomplishment.

The final official episode of the season will feature a discussion with my friend & former band mate, Scott Auld.  Scott does a vlog on YouTube that’s a lot of fun (look for “AmenMoto”) and we’ll be talking about what he’s learned about being a motorcyclist since taking it up just a couple of short years ago.

There will be one “very special” episode where I and an expert guest will take on OIL and the myths surrounding that vital substance.

Thanks to every one of you who has downloaded or streamed an episode of the show, and especially thanks to those of you who have listened to every episode. I can’t wait to see what happens in Season Two! I’ll be taking June and July off to rest, ride and gather more guests into the Chasing the Horizon fold.

See you out there somewhere on the road – or off it! Ride safe.
